The Tribe Takes on Peru

Here at Trident, we truly care about where our coffee comes from and we honor it's origins in our everyday life, but sometimes we like to go the extra mile (literally) to do so!

Trident Coffee Origins

After seven flights, two trains, three car rentals, one transmission replacement, and LOTS of coffee, our CEO, Eric, and our Director of Operations, Derek, made it to Peru!

With a friend, Liam from Australia, the trio started in Lima, and then travelled to Cajamarca and San Ignacio, where they visited four coffee farms, and saw exactly where the beans for our Peru roasts come from!

They moved on to see Machu Picchu (one of the great wonders of the world), hiked the Rainbow Mountain and Red Valley, and explored the Ancient City on a walking tour. While hiking, they reached maximum elevation at a sea level up to 15,600 ft., and got to see the great Andes Mountain while road tripping! Plus, they got to experience the Huacachina Oasis and sand dunes.

Not only did they learn about our coffee's origins while there, they learned about the culture and community in Peru through local cuisine and beverages, as well as an Ayahuasca Ceremony.
